Powerhouse Pub

We were invited by some friends to this venue. We had an awesome night. The place is amazing with all the lights, decorations, bar and service was great. We enjoyed the band and music from Shawna Morrison who is the daughter of music legend Van Morrison. She was fantastic. We dance all night and had a blast. Will definitely come back.

This place would have unique decor Inside to see from ceiling to the stage good bands from Blues too Rock would play. It also has a dance floor to enjoy two bars an upstairs second floor to view the band. There is outside close patio to still enjoy the band music or a DJ that would play at certain times with another bar outside too. Seating is available out in the patio if it gets Hot there is water mist that don't get you wet but feels refreshing. Worth going.

Joel (the bartender) is always wonderfully helpful at advice for trying new drinks. I like to experiment and he hits the mark each time! Thanks Joel! Yummy drinks just add more fun to an already entertaining night of free line dancing lessons that start every Thursday night at 7pm. This week's yummy 'new to me' drink "Blackberry-Lime Rickey" last week was a "Dirty Martini." Great place to enjoy yourself, meet new friends, and have a good time.

On October 8th, my daughters and I went to Powerhouse Pub to celebrate my daughter's acceptance into medical school. Unfortunately, during our visit, an upsetting incident occurred. A group of girls began laughing at my daughter who was upset/crying about a personal matter. When my older daughter confronted them, asking them why they were laughing, things escalated quickly, with one of the girls becoming aggressive, getting in my daughter's face and using profanity. She then attacked my older daughter, tearing out a significant chunk of her hair. Security intervened, expelling everyone involved. I called the police to press charges, but while we waited for the police, the security guards were dismissive and treated us poorly, even insulting my younger daughter, who was upset about her sister bleeding and being attacked. We requested to view the video footage to understand exactly what happened, but they claimed the cameras weren't working that night, which seemed questionable. Tensions escalated between the security officer and myself since he was insulting my daughters, and because of this, they banned my daughters (possibly me as well) from attending all clubs/bars with driver's license scanning. Despite both of my daughters' attempts to contact the owner by email and phone, their calls were never returned. They even went into the bar several times to clear it up, and one of the female bartenders treated them like criminals and was extremely rude. Having heard all this, I decided to contact the manager and see what could be done. After speaking to Eric for a few minutes, he refused to let me speak, making up a story about my kids being in a group fight, which was not true. He said they would not be removed from the list and hung up on me. I was completely stunned. I didn't even get two words in before he hung up. It's disheartening to witness this establishment handle this situation so poorly. In addition to filing a complaint with the BBB, I plan to investigate other ways to raise my concerns about Powerhouse.

It’s a cool venue, and has a lot of potential but needs a deep clean and more than 2 stalls in the ladies room! Live music was great, excessive amount of large security dudes who kind of throw off the relaxation factor. Great spot to people watch, drinks were just ok and served in plastic cups. Beware, don’t get drowsy or they will throw you out on grounds of being over intoxicated even if you’re sitting at a table chilling with a water in your hand minding your own business. LOL!
